Abstract[justify]
This research deals with the musician singer Zeryab, and his influence on the social and artistery life in Al-andalus. He was considered one of the followers of the Abbasi Caliph Almahdi. He was born in Baghdad and got educated at Ishaq Almosily School of Arts to become one of its prominent students. After his dispute with his teacher and his fear of al-Ma’moon as weuas the stagnation of the singing craft in Baghdad, he immigrated to Al-andalus, where he got the support of the Omayyad principality till his death. During his life there, he achieved a lot of fame and reputation. He left great influence on the social and artistry life of the people of Al-andalus, in addition to the modifications he added to the Lute, like the addition of the fifth chord. His school has graduated a lot of musicians and composers.
